India has this popular culture of godmen and one of the prominent names on this list is that of Kalki Bhagwan, who created a big following for himself over the last three or four decades.
Born Vijay Kumar, Kalki Bhagwan worked as a teacher and as an LIC agent for most of his life. Then in 1992, he introduced himself to the world as an incarnation of Kalki and became known as Kalki Bhagwan.
Kalki Bhagwan conducted several spiritual programmes with his wife, Amma Bhagwan, and had followers across the world. The two of them created a huge following for themselves globally with thousands of visitors to their Ashram every day.
Incidentally, Kalki Bhagwan has passed away a short while back after being treated at a private hospital in Chennai for the last one week to 10 days.
Kalki Bhagwan’s mortal remains will be brought to Ekam Temple, also known as Golden City, at Bathavallam in Varadaiahpalem mandal of Tirupati district at 11am on Wednesday. The remains will be kept there for devotees to pay their last respects. The last rites planned at Ekam Temple on Saturday.
