Lagadapati Rajagopal, who is popular for his surveys and political analyses, is at it again. Predicting the results of forthcoming UP Assembly elections, Lagadapati stated that BJP would come out of flying colours in the polls as he claimed that the people of UP have welcomed PM Narendra Modi’s move to ban high-valued currency. He said that the internal feud within SP and weak BSP, Congress would also benefit BJP.
Veering towards Andhra Pradesh, Lagadapati said that TDP is stronger and likely to win AP in 2019 polls as well if the same situation continues. He blamed weak YSRCP for this. According to him, TDP is stronger in urban regions and cities, towns but it’s slightly trailing behind YSRCP in rural areas.
He reasoned that urban youths are with TDP as they seem to have understood the situations like special conditions post bifurcation, financial deficit and Centre’s meagre help to the state.
He reiterated that he took political ‘sanyasam’. He made the aforementioned comments with media during his visit to Chittoor.
