Devi Sri Prasad is a star music director in the film industry. He is currently enjoying the success of his new movie, Pushpa 2: The Rule. Ahead of the film’s release, he interacted with a daily English news where he opened up on the process of making the music.

Kissik song, featuring Sreeleela, is getting a lot of attention from everyone. DSP shared that the song’s idea came from the script itself.

“The word Kissik exists from the script itself. I have taken it from the film. When Sukumar sir told me about it, I found it very interesting. I wanted the song to start with Kissik. When I thought about how to make it musical, I randomly jammed, and they immediately loved it,” said DSP, adding that Peelings song also came from the script.

DSP also shared that he does not compose multiple options, and for most of his films, whatever he delivers is first approved.

Devi Sri Prasad also shared the principles that he follows when it comes to work. “My principle is to not copy ever. Getting inspired happens automatically. But, we should never do something saying we got inspired by something. In my opinion, it is copying. In the initial days of my career, many asked me to recreate English songs, but I always told people that I was here to create music,” he said.
