Corona Virus: US reports first death in Washington

Hours after United States President Donald Trump claimed that COVID-19 virus is in control, Washington has reported its first death because of deadly Corona Virus. Following this death, the governor has declared emergency in state. The medical team in Washington State informed that the mean who passed away is in his 50s. ‘He had no history of travel or contact with a known COVID-19 case,’ they said

To control the outbreak of Virus, Governor Jay Inslee instructed officials to make use all the necessary resources and allowed the use of Washington National Gaurd when required. On other hand, 50+ citizens who are sick are being tested for Corona Virus in a nursing facility.

Indicating that there could be more cases in the near term, Medical director of Infection Control at Evergreen Frank Riedo said local hospitals are prepared to treat people with Corona Virus symptoms.

While US has reported 60 confirmed cases, the number of virus affected people around the world are around 83,000. So far, 2,900 deaths have reported worldwide.
