The verdict on long-awaited Ayodhya dispute has been given today by the Supreme Court and whatever the judgement is, the spiritual head of Ajmer dargah welcomed it. Appealing people of both communities to maintain peace and harmony, the decision has come in favour of Hindus to construct Ram Temple at the disputed site at Ayodhya.
On the other hand, Muslims have been given an allocation of a 5-acre plot to the Sunni Waqf Board for building a mosque. The decision has been taken positively by the Dargah Deeewan Zainul Abedian Ali Khan and he said to respect the judiciary. He also asked his people to remember that the entire globe is watching India and one should be dignified.
With the latest decision of land given to Hindus and alternative plot to Muslims, people on Muslims side are disatisfied with the verdict and Muslim parties lawyer Zafaryab Jilani said that they will explore legal options and cannot be settled with this judgement. He said “we will file a review petition on this if the committee agrees”
The constitution bench was led by Justice Ranjan Gogoi and along with him five judges have looked briefly into the long-running dispute with ASI reports. A trust will be formed and the centre must set a trust within 3 months, following inner courtyard to be handed over to the trust. Until then, the land will remain in statutory received ie, until trust is formed. In spite of a very balanced judgement by Supreme Court and repeatedly asking to not create ruckus, a few sections of the people are raising arguments over the five-judge bench decision.
