AP news: Kia Motors To Begin Operations in January

The Construction of Kia Motors Plant in Anantapur District is nearing completion. The Plant is likely to become operational from January the next year. South Korea’s Automobile Major, Kia Motors is establishing its first ever Plant in India in Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh.
The company will be making a whopping 10000 Crore investment and will provide 10000 Employment Opportunities. Kia Motors Plant is the Single Largest Investment of Andhra Pradesh after the state bifurcation. In fact, it is one of the biggest foreign investments in the entire country.
Chandrababu Naidu brought the project to the Parched region of Rayalaseema to improve the employment opportunities there and ensure all-round development there. Besides the Automobile Plant, Several Ancillary units have also come up in the surroundings. Kia Motors is expected to roll out its first product, the SP Concept SUV in India around September 2019. Kia Motors India plant in Anantapur consists of a press shop, engine & transmission units, body shop, paint booth and a final assembly line among others. Apart from the main plant area, Kia Motor is also working on setting up a new training center, a giant test track, and a township, right opposite the main factory.
