Another setback to Indian Cricket team, after Shikar Dhawan’s exit, all-rounder Vijay Shankar also has been ruled out of the ongoing World Cup tournament due to a toe injury.
The right-hand batsman and bowler, who was replaced with Rishabh Pant in the last game against England, was injured during the practice session. A yorker from Jasprit Bumrah has hurt him in the leg and so, the ‘3D player’ had to miss the game against England.
Some analysts and media reports are suggesting that Karnataka based Mayank Aggarwal will join the team as his replacement. The BCCI is most likely to name the 28-yr old right hand batsman as his replacement for rest of the World Cup.
