Telangana Government to help ailing 7-year-old boy

Siddipet: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has directed the Collector, Siddipet, P Venkatrami Reddy, to make arrangements for heart transplantation for Bokuri Likith Reddy (7), a resident of Pothareddypally, of Cheriyal mandal in Siddipet district. After a couple of vernacular dailies carried news reports on the situation faced by Likith Reddy, the Chief Minister immediately responded and asked the Collector to take the responsibility of providing treatment to him.
The boy said to have four holes in his heart and he requires a heart transplantation surgery which would cost Rs 60 Lakh. The boy’s parents Bal Reddy, Lavanya couldn’t bear the expenses and wanting to seek the help of people through crowd funding.
Knowing the boy’s condition and his family’s position through various media reports, CM KCR has reacted positively and asked Siddipet Collector P. Venkatrami Reddy to make necessary arrangements for the boy’s surgery.
Learning about the Telangana government’s decision to treat Bokuri Likith Reddy and bear the total medical expenditure, parents Bal Reddy, Lavanya are on cloud nine.
