Bhuma Nagireddy was born on January 8, 1964 to Bhuma Bali Reddy and Easwaramma at Kothapalli in Dindipadu mandal of Kurnool district.

Bhuma was elected as Narasapuram single window chairman in 1987; he was elected as Allagadda MPP in 1988, later he was  elected as MLA in by-polls in 1992. He was elected as MLA from Allagadda in 1994 (TDP) and 2014(YSRCP). He worked Lok Sabha member from Nandyala on TDP ticket in 1996, 1998 and 1999.

In 1996 he gained nationwide attention as he contested against the then prime minister P.V. Narasimha Rao as a TDP candidate. Though defeated narrowly . Later in by election he won after PV resigned.

He resigned TDP in 2008 and contested on Chiranjeevi’s Praya Rajyam in 2009 and was defeated , later he joined YSRCP and got elected as MLA in 2014.

His wife Sobha Nagireddy, also a politician, died in an accident two years . He has two daughter and a son. His daughter was also elected as MLA.
