UPSC exam topper Kanishka Kataria thanks girlfriend for his success

NEW DELHI: It is common that students thanks to their parents, siblings or their institution in which they have studied for their success in examination or on achieving something. However, this is the first time that Civil’s topper has thanked his girlfriend who supported him in achieving the country’s one of the top exams. The IIT-Bombay student Kaniska Kataria has topped civil services final examination, which the results were out on Friday. He still can’t stop pinching himself over his grand success, the youth thanked his girlfriend for him topping the civil services examination.

However, he didn’t miss thanking his parents and sister.”It’s a very surprising moment for me. I never expected that I’ll get the First rank. I want to thank my parents, sister and my girlfriend for the help and moral support that she has extended. I want to be a good administrator as people will generally expect from me”-he added.Kataria belongs to SC category and qualified the examination with mathematics as his optional subject. He is a BTech (Computer Science and Engineering).The UPSC also announced Srushti Jayant Deshmukh as the topper among women candidates securing an overall fifth rank. Deshmukh, a BE (Chemical Engineering) from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal.Internet helped me a lot: Third-ranked in UPSC examination Junaid Ahmad gave entire credit of his success to the Internet instead of coaching classes. “But internet helps you a lot, everything is available online. Productive use of the internet helped me,” Ahmad said, appreciating the availability of free information. “I expected to be in the list but never expected 3rd rank,” he added.
