Congress and JDS heading for a split?

According to the latest update, there is a split in Congress as well as JD(S). The news is that many Lingayat MLAs in Congress are not ready to support Kumar Swamy as CM & likely to revolt against their party. Moreover, few MLA s from JDS too are in touch with BJP.

BJP has emerged as a single largest party by securing 104 seats. Congress party secured 78 and JDS secured 38 seats.

About 5 Congress MLAs are with DK Shivakumar and 2 independent candidates to join hands with BJP. DK Shivakumar in talks with JD(S), has 10 MLA’s and 1 Independent with him. BJP has offered DK Shivakumar the post of Deputy Chief Minister. BJP high command has also directed Minister Prakash Javadekar to come to Bengaluru to handle the situation.
